Caron A. Watkins, Esquire, is a seasoned public servant and respected leader with over 20 years of experience in public administration, law, and policy, to the firm. Watkins brings a distinguished record of service, having held influential roles in the administrations of prominent officials, including Baltimore Mayors Brandon M. Scott and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, and Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.
Watkins is a strategic leader whose impactful career spans over two decades in public administration, law, and policy. She has played pivotal roles in the administrations and campaigns of several esteemed officials, including Baltimore Mayors Brandon M. Scott and Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, as well as Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, State Senator Cory McCray, and Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby.

 

In 2024, Watkins led the City of Baltimore Office of Equity and Civil Rights, where she championed transparency, accountability, and equity across the City’s initiatives. In this role, she oversaw the Equity Division and seven boards and commissions, including the Administrative Charging Committee, Civilian Review Board, Community Relations Commission, Mayor’s Commission on Disabilities, Police Accountability Board, Veterans’ Commission, Wage Commission, and Women’s Commission.

Watkins holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law, gaining admission to the Maryland Bar in December 2015.
Her exceptional leadership and dedication have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition in the Maryland Daily Record’s “20 in their Twenties” and “Leading Women Under 40.”
