Our Conversations with HJM series continues with Maryland Candidate Spotlights from the Maryland Association of Counties’ (MACo) Summer Conference in Ocean City, Maryland.
First up is part one of a two-part conversation with the Democratic Nominee for Governor of the State of Maryland, Wes Moore. Moore discusses what it was like to be a first-time candidate; his approach to education, including Universal Pre-K, economic pathways through the trades, and a service year option for high school students; his strategy to combat climate change; how he plans to bolster the health care system for both the uninsured and under-insured; and his expected role on the Board of Public Works and his aspiration to increase access and capital for minority business enterprises (MBE) and small businesses.
