Robert Fulton Dashiell joined Harris Jones & Malone, LLC as Of Counsel in 2008.  A seasoned attorney with decades of legal experience, Dashiell concentrates his practice in labor law, real estate development, government procurement, construction law, general corporate law, civil litigation, and business finance.

 

Dashiell is highly experienced in Baltimore City procurement matters and has appeared extensively before the Baltimore City Board of Estimates throughout his career. His government procurement practice also includes matters before the Maryland State Board of Contract Appeals and the Maryland Board of Public Works, providing clients with significant experience navigating complex state and local procurement processes.

 

Throughout his distinguished career, Dashiell has been a strong advocate for expanding opportunities for minority-owned businesses in government contracting and economic development. He worked with the Urban Mass Transit Administration to develop a minority participation plan for grantees and played an influential role in the passage of Maryland House Bill 64, which established Maryland’s first Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) law. Dashiell also challenged the lack of MBE participation in the construction of Baltimore’s subway system, organizing public advocacy efforts that helped bring the Maryland Mass Transit Administration to the table and contributed to the implementation of an MBE program. His longstanding work in this area reflects a career dedicated to increasing access, equity, and opportunity for minority businesses in Maryland.

Robert Fulton Dashiell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Morgan State University and holds a Juris Doctor from the Columbus School of Law, Catholic University of America.  Dashiell is admitted to practice law in the State of Maryland and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
