Baltimore City Council President Brandon M. Scott visits with Center Maryland’s Inside Out to discuss his vision for the future of Baltimore, the ransomware attack, and the Racial Equity Amendment. Brandon M. Scott was unanimously elected President of the City Council by members of the City Council in May of 2019. Last week, President Scott announced new committee assignments for the City Council, including several new committees. President Scott was first elected in 2011 at the age of 27 and is one of the youngest persons ever elected to Baltimore’s City Council. Previously, President Scott served as the City Councilmember representing Baltimore City’s 2nd District.
